Last Christmas I was wrapping presents at 11pm on Christmas Eve, sticky tape on my fingers, wondering how I'd gone from "this year I'll be organised" to this.
It wasn't that I didn't care. It was that Christmas landed on top of everything else. Work, school pick-ups, dinners, the washing that never ends. The same way it does for every mum I know.
And somewhere in all of it, I realised I'd spent so much energy making Christmas happen for everyone else that I barely got to feel it myself.
So this year I'm doing it differently. Earlier, slower, one small step at a time. And I'd love you to do it with me.
